poetic license
my Poem defies convention.
i refuse to trap it in
iambic pentameter,
Rigid Rhyme Scheme--
ABAB, CDCD
et cetera, et cetera.
my Poem uses kooky comparisons,
juxtapositions quite out of the ordinary.
i speak of slanderous sassafras,
blasphemous boysenberries,
and canteloupes oh-so-cantankerous!
my Poem includes bunches of doodads--
(parentheses here,) an ellipsis there…
a line change where it doesn’t make
sense at all.
my Poem includes stanzas of all different lengths
--6 lines, 5 lines, 8 lines--
and i sprinkle punctuation like cheese on homemade pizza.
why?
because i am a rebel, and
my Poem defies convention.

I bought those pendants from Michaels for actually pretty cheap. They have some awesome finds. My favorite place is a place in Illinois that is a Native American jewelry shop. Hand painted, well crafted beauties. I love it!
